Day 1 - The Start of the Season 🍈🍑✨
This story starts, like all those that came before, by listening.
Each day of the month I will be creating a new still life, deeply rooted in the season. It is the final chapter in a series that started with a Month of Tables in November 2022 which bridged autumn into winter, and a spring series in April 2025. Now comes summer.
When I walk past the fruit on the kitchen table, when I see the bloom nodding in the morning sun, when I see the butterfly so elegant in its tasks, there is a tug, on the soul, and all I do is listen. So it was with this first day, when the sweetness of the unopened melon caught me.
