Pomegranate - Fruits of Eden Limited Edition Print
Pomegranate - Fruits of Eden Limited Edition Print
Composition
Pomegranate - Fruits of Eden from the Flora Constellation series
Bud and blossom,
Whisper of fruit to ripening sphere,
Broken spent shell and fallen seeds,
and over it starts again. đź’«
Had you ever seen a pomegranate flower? They were new and exotic to me when we moved here - still a magical ancient tree.
These frilly blooms and their young fruits as well as the old dried shells of year old fruit all came from “an obliging field” (I will love you if you can name that film adaptation 💛) behind an empty house in the village destined to be torn down. All that is left now is a flat dusty rectangle waiting for two brand new homes to be squeezed in together, the pomegranate trees and the burgundy roses that climbed up their branches just a memory for a few now.
